PostgreSQL Europe Reception

We’re again making this year’s social easy for all to attend: just join us in the common area at the conclusion of the conference on Tuesday, October 20, for snacks, refreshments and activities. We look forward to seeing you and celebrating what we know will be a great conference!
Conversation Starters @ Community Reception
Looking to meet new people, exchange ideas, or simply have an interesting conversation?
At this year's social reception, we're introducing Conversation Tables to help break the ice and bring people together. Each table will feature a conversation topic, making it easy to find people with shared interests and jump into a discussion.
The idea is simple: Join the Social Reception, Find a topic, join a table, and start talking!
We'll have conversation topics displayed on tables throughout the reception. Topics may range from PostgreSQL and open source to community experiences, hobbies, and other fun subjects. The goal is to make it easier to connect with others, especially if you don't already know many people at the conference.
No additional sign-up is required. The Conversation Tables are part of the social reception and are open to all reception attendees.
Simply show up, pick a topic, and join the conversation!
Community Celebration Board
The Community Celebration Board, popular at PGConf.EU 2024 and 2025, is back in 2026. Leave a message to:
- Tell us what you love about the Postgres community.
- Celebrate the things that make you unique.
- Share the things we have in common.
- Let us know what you’re doing to make the community even better.
Express yourself using the paper, pens, stickers and stamps provided, and leave your message on the board. Enjoy the messages from other attendees, and encourage your friends and colleagues to join in.
Quiet Room & Hackers Lounge
The breakout rooms are located past Auditorium 3 and upstairs.
Once again we have a number of brekout rooms for attendees to use.
We have a quiet room, where people can relax in a comfortable and quiet space, whether you just need a break from things or you just want to switch off for a bit. It's available for any attendee to use, just keep the noise to a minimum.
If you want to hack on PostgreSQL, or need to catch up on work, feel free to use the hackers room. No need to be silent, but be respectful of others in the room.
Postgres Women+ Breakfast
Come and have breakfast with Postgres Women at PGConf.EU 2026 in Valencia, Spain!

You need to signup via Your Attendance before the 1th Oct 2026 (EOD).
This breakfast, supported by the PostgreSQL Europe Diversity Committee, is a wonderful opportunity to connect with other women in the PostgreSQL community, share experiences, and build meaningful relationships in a welcoming environment. Whether you're a long-time contributor or new to the community, we'd love to have you join us!
The event is open to all women/underrepresented genders and the breakfast will be held at the conference venue on the first day of PGConf.EU

- Limited to 40 attendees - register early to secure your spot.
- Options include vegetarian and vegan pastries.
- Please use the signup to tell us if you need a gluten-free breakfast.
