Getting to Valencia
Some useful tips for getting to and around Valencia
PGConf.EU 2026 takes place at the Palacio de Congresos, Avda. Cortes Valencianas, nº 60, 46015 València (España). This document explains how to get to the conference center.
From The Airport
By Metro
Valencia Airport is connected to the city by Metrovalencia lines 3 and 5. The station is called “Aeroport” and it’s located underneath the airport. To use these lines to get to Palacio de Congresos, once you’ve exited the airport control area, go to the left to find the stairs that take you to the metro station (there are signs showing how to get to the metro; you can also use elevators/lifts). The station to get off at is Beniferri, and only lines 1 and 2 pass through that station. You’ll have to switch lines from 3 or 5 to 1 or 2 at “Angel Guimera” station (lines 3 and 5 use the same rails from Aeroport to Angel Guimera, the same way that lines 1 and 2 use the same rails from Angel Guimera to Beniferri). From there it’s a 600-meter walk to the Venue.
By Bus
EMT bus line 150 runs directly between the airport and the city, but you’ll need to take another bus to get to the venue. It is more convenient to use the metro from the airport and combine it with other metro lines or a bus. You can take lines 3 or 5 from “Aeroport” and get off at “Nou de Octubre” and from there take line 99 bus, which leaves you in front of Meliá Valencia
By Taxi
Uber operates in Valencia with airport pickup and drop-off. There’s also two other companies operating in Valencia: Cabify and Bolt. If coming in groups, Bolt has large vehicles that can take up to 7 or people. There is a pick-up zone in the airport. If you'd rather call a local taxi firm directly, Radio Taxi Manises (+34 961 521 155), Radio Taxi Valencia (+34 963 703 333) and Taxis de Valencia (+34 961 119 977) all serve the airport.
By Car
The venue is 15-20 minutes from the airport by road.
From The High-speed Train Stations
Joaquín Sorolla train station is 12 minutes from the venue by car. This is the station where fast trains from Madrid arrive (there’s also 1 daily train from Sevilla which arrives here). Besides taking a cab, there’s also direct metro from Jesus station, which is a 300 meter walk, where either lines 1 or 2 will take you to the Venue hopping off at Beniferri station, just 600 meters from the destination.
If coming from Barcelona, the trains arrive at Estació del Nord. Across the street you will see the bus stop for lines 62 and 63 which leave you in front of the venue (it’s a 20 minute ride on the bus). Alternatively, with a 5 minute walk to Plaza España, you can take the metro, both lines 1 and 2 stop in that station, which leave you near the venue in Beniferri station.
Getting Around By Public Transport
The venue is served by bus lines 62, 63, 99, and by two nearby metro stations: Beniferri (underground lines L1 and L2) and Palau de Congresos (tram line L4), both a short walk from the entrance. Valencia also has the Valenbici bike-share scheme and city-wide cycle paths passing close to the venue.
Buying tickets
All tickets can be bought at kiosks at metro stations. For the bus rides, you can get the ticket from the driver. The preferred payment on the bus is contactless, and when paying in cash, the driver only accepts 10€ or smaller.
If you're staying a few days, Valencia's rechargeable Mobilis card covers both bus and metro and is cheaper per trip than buying singles. You can get a SUMA10 with 10 rides, rechargeable in most metro and tram stations. The initial cost, which includes the physical support, is €6.50, and it comes with 10 rides on the metro or EMT bus. You can recharge the support with 10 more rides for €5.40. These prices are for moving in Zone A, which is where most of the people move around. You can get fares for other zones, like AB (zones A and B) for a little more. This also doesn’t include the airport which is in a separate zone (tickets in and out of the airport have a cost of €5.40 each ride.
There are also 24-, 48- and 72-hour cards. These are convenient if moving a lot with public transport in that period of time. These cards are individual, so they can’t be shared, which is a big difference from SUMA10, which can be used by multiple people at the same time.
By Car
The venue sits on Av. de les Corts Valencianes, easily reached from the northwest of the city, with 600 underground parking spaces on-site (with surveillance).
